The Scottish Needs Assessment Programme (SNAP) Introduction
The Scottish Needs Assessment Programme (SNAP) was set up in 1992 across all Scottish Health Boards to assist them in carrying out health needs assessment. It developed into a key resource in the commissioning process and produced over 60 reports on a wide range of health issues. These reports can be found below.
In 2001 SNAP was incorporated into the work programme of the Public Health Institute for Scotland. The reports published by PHIS are also accessible on this site.
The Scottish Dental Needs Assessment Programmes (SDNAP) continues to produce reports which are also available on this site.
