Update on SSP (PH)
The SSP-PH engaged with the public health community to explore their views on a number of fronts through questionnaires and also analysis of currently held information (e.g. Public Health Review) to ascertain the best way forward to deliver effective, efficient and sustainable public health functions in Scotland. The questionnaires focused on:
- The first questionnaire mainly asked whether certain functions and services should be provided and at what level they should be planned and delivered. Thanks to everyone who responded. Work then began on the supplementary analysis of the 2015 Public Health Review relating to the public health domains and functions.
- The second questionnaire was to gauge the views on wider change and development options relating to the public health functions. This was similar to the first questionnaire, but included the full range of public health functions.
- Findings from the engagement questionnaires can be found on the SSP-PH information page.
- A stakeholder event was held on 24th of August 2016 to inform the development of the programme.
