Imagining Better Futures: Global Citizenship within NHS Scotland
Taking Action for a Just and Sustainable World
Thursday 27th August 18:00 – 20:00 BST
How can global citizenship add value to your work at NHS Scotland? An online session exploring new & creative approaches to global issues.
What is Global Citizenship and how can it add value to your work at NHS Scotland? Join this online session on Thursday 27th August for a timely opportunity to explore new and creative ways to approach global issues and how to bring about transformational change.
This session will build your confidence in identifying the interconnections between local actions and global impacts, and deepen your understanding of how the interdependencies of the world we live in affect all of our lives. The session will also familiarise you with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, among which Health & Wellbeing is key.
In a world shaped by Covid-19 and the climate emergency, we will think creatively about possible futures and look at where to find NHS Scotland specific touchpoints for global issues, encouraging you to reflect on the crossovers between the values you hold personally and professionally.
This online session is open to all staff across all NHS Scotland boards. It will be both informative and interactive, prompting you to reflect on how these topics relate to your own work setting and providing the space to do so collaboratively in smaller groups during the session.
This online learning event is brought to you in partnership by the NHS Scotland Global Citizenship Programme, Bridge 47 and Scotdec.
For further information, and if you are interested to attend, please register at: Eventbrite using the password: Citizenship. Please note that this event is only open to staff at NHS Scotland.
